An Amazing Sailing Experience in Grenada with Ben Martin & Nautilus Sailing School Just wrapped up an awesome experience with Nautilus Sailing School and instructor Ben Martin in Grenada. The school was super organized from start to finish, and the liveaboard training was thorough, hands-on, and exactly what I was hoping for. Grenada itself was absolutely gorgeous — an incredible place to learn and sail. Ben was an excellent instructor. He presented the material in a way that was easy to grasp and encouraged us to “fail forward” so we could really learn by doing, not just by listening. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and approachable. Beyond being a great instructor, he was extremely personable! Couldn’t recommend Nautilus Sailing School highly enough. Fantastic experience all around!

Don't hesitate. It really is that good! Our family recently completed the Catamaran Liveaboard course with Nautilus in the Grenadines, and we had an absolutely AMAZING time! Over the trip we sailed between several islands (genuinely in paradise) and finished ASA 101, 103, 104, and 114. The whole experience was a great mix of learning, hands-on sailing, and just loads of fun. Despite the fact we were complete beginners, the course somehow managed to keep our family challenged and engaged without ever feeling overwhelming. Our instructor, Tim (TJ), was simply fantastic! Super knowledgeable, patient, and easy to learn from. One of the best parts was hearing his real-life sailing stories and examples, which made a lot of the theory click in a practical way. He kept things fun while still making sure we were progressing and hitting our goals throughout the course. The Nautilus team was also great to deal with from start to finish. Communication was easy, everything was well organized, and the overall experience really did exceed our expectations. We left feeling much more confident on the water and can’t wait to get back out sailing again. Highly recommend Nautilus Sailing.

Ready to Captain our way into retirement! We were looking for a way to mark our 40th wedding anniversary and decided to splurge on this adventure together! Best decision we ever made! Nautilus sent materials, videos and even practise rope ahead to us so we could prepare to learn aboard. I didn’t get to all of it myself but found our fabulous Instructors Tim and Doug covered everything so clearly and patiently! These guys were both fantastic- so many stories to share, and their enthusiasm and positive encouragement made all the difference. I can’t imagine better teachers or a better week! Such a gorgeous time in the Abacos and a fun, active, learning vacation - I can’t recommend enough! Do it! You will be both proud of yourself and so excited to host friends & family for unforgettable adventures together!

Understandable live on- board Catamaran training in epic locations with enthusiastic teachers ! Just do it ! My wife and I had previously crewed in the Exumas for friends that were previously trained by Nautilus and it was the best vacation of our lives . We caught the joy of Catamaran Cruising and happily signed up for Nautilus live on-board training . Our trip was May 2026 with Captain Tim and associate Captain Doug in the Abacos Everything was epic . The program was tailored perfectly to train us while seamlessly enjoying panoramic vistas and anchorages Pristine waters with sea turtles abounding . Lively restaurants and private beaches were enjoyed in equal measure. To see my wife revel in the experience and training was a joy! I highly recommend this without hesitation ! Thanks Nautilus

Amazing organization! Where do I even start with these guys. I've been on several Charter trips with a captain over the past few years including Greece, Italy, and Tahiti. Somewhere along the way I thought "Man, Id love to do that!" With encouragement from my wife (selfish reasons I expect) :), I researched long and hard looked at several companies and came across Nautilus. I sure am glad that I did. I booked this experience without even knowing what to expect or anything about sailing and I can't be more appreciative of Tim and Doug. They were patient, pushed me when I needed it and just really made me feel great about my decision to do this. I cant wait for my first flotilla! I cant forget, there was a fantastic couple on my trip that I know will be great folks, I'll check in with often! And I know that Tim and Doug will be a resource that I can always reach out to at anytime. Thank you all again for helping this guy get through this journey! Next time, rum punches are on me!

A dream come true…… This crew is the best! No need to look anywhere else. Captain Lindsay did an exceptional job training us on our live a board course. Anchoring in amazing places, having fun dinners on remote beaches, a good blend of school and liesurely times! Can’t wait to come back to the grenadines and do some more exploration!

Sensational Abacos week w/ Nautilus & Alexis We highly recommend Nautilus. Before we went aboard the video lessons were very helpful and well done. Alexis was a truly magnificent catamaran instructor for our family of four – her skill and expertise were matched by an incredible ability to tailor her teaching style for our kids, making everyone feel confident and engaged. She collaborated with us each day to plan the schedule, thoughtfully guiding us to adjust for weather, as we created an itinerary uniquely ours. Even in high winds and lively seas, Alexis remained calm and clear in her communication, building our confidence while ensuring safety. Over the course of the week, she gradually empowered us to take the helm and handle everything ourselves under her expert guidance. She also went above and beyond by capturing wonderful family photos we’ll cherish forever. By the end of the trip, she felt like part of the family – an exceptional instructor and an even better person.

Nautilus, the way to go! My husband and I recently completed the Catamaran Live aboard course with Nautilus Sailing in the Grenadines, and it was fantastic! We came in as beginners and learned so much! We had prepared well by reading the 4 books, watching the videos, and practicing the knots. Our instructor, Lex, showed professionalism, deep knowledge, and a true passion for what she does. She had a calm and patient teaching style that made us feel comfortable and confident, even in more challenging moments. Thanks to Nautilus, especially Lex, this trip was not only a great learning experience but also an unforgettable adventure with friends. We would highly recommend her and Nautilus to anyone considering a live aboard sailing course. Also, the personalized communication (by Amy) before, during, and after the course is top-notch. Now, lets go sailing!

This is an on- board sailing class. This was a very fun way to learn how to sail. We went in as complete novices. Our instructor was very patient and knowledgeable.

An Amazing Adventure My wife and I went on the week long catamaran course in the Abacos (on Sir Jax). It was an experience I'll cherish the rest of my life - so much fun both learning to sail, and the great adventures we all had outside instruction times. Our skipper/instructor, Fede, was amazing - I think we really lucked out with him. Particularly, his love of freedive spearfishing (which was unbelievable to watch while snorkeling at the surface) left us eating fresh out of the sea grouper, snapper, lobster, triggerfish civiche and more. In addition to my wife and I, there were two other solo students with us (so 5 of us in total). Again, maybe we got lucky since everyone was easy to be around, but those catamarans have plenty of room and areas to find some alone time too. Five stars.
