The Exumas island chain in The Bahamas (365 islands!) is truly a spectacular place to sail. Little islands with stunning white sand beaches, shallow anchorages and reefs teeming with marine life (and the chance to find lobsters to put on the grill!) make this one of our favorite destinations.

The Lagoon 400S2 is one of our favorite cats in the 40 foot range as she has lots of light, spacious cabins and living areas, and sails really well. “Never Say Never” has all the bells and whistles including gennaker, solar panels, lithium batteries, water maker and AC.
Used in: Lagoon 400S2Tim grew up in Africa and Spain, then lived in California for many years but now calls Crested Butte CO home. Tim worked in education and international project management before following his passion for sailing. Passions include surfing, snowboarding, kiteboarding, fly fishing and photography.
Ben grew up in northern Maine and learned to sail in the Northeast, but now lives outside Seattle, Washington. Ben traded in his engineering career with the US Navy to sail and hasn't looked back. His passions include travel, hiking, biking, and he really wants to learn all the foiling sports.
Lives in Colorado. His passions include dual sport motorbikes, kayaking, and travel. Al originally grew up in the midwest, where he started sailing as a kid. He had an outdoor guide business, and managed a high end ranch before teaching sailing.
Lives on the Olympic Peninsula, in Washington State. Passions include cycling, woodworking, travel, hiking and sailing. Tim grew up in the Northwest, raced sailboats, joined the US Coast Guard. He then spent years in the IT business before becoming a sailing instructor.
After four years of fulltime travel by boat and RV, Dave has settled his family down (for now) in Anchorage, Alaska. When not sailing, Dave is changing the world by engineering sustainable energy systems. Besides travel and sailing, Dave enjoys food, mountain biking, and hiking.
Lives in Santa Monica, California but is still very much a Southern guy at heart. I grew up sailing with my father in the Gulf of Mexico and also spent my summers sailing off the coast of Maine with my grandparents. My main passion and hobby is sailing but surfing, camping, hiking, horseback riding and woodworking are some close seconds.
Lindsay grew up in Tampa Florida in a family of avid sailors. A talented soccer player she played collegiate soccer before coming back to sailing. She has lived in St Thomas and Australia working in the sailing industry. Her passions include scuba diving, mountain biking, golfing, hiking, fishing and of course, sailing!
Currently calls Northeastern Pennsylvania (along the Delaware river) home but has lived in St Martin until hurricane Irma hit and St Vincent until the volcano forced people out! His passions include teaching sailing, ocean conservations and marine science as well as backpacking, hiking, climbing, biking and diving.
Mark grew up sailing in upstate New York, but has called Carpinteria CA home for many years now. He, his wife and kids have had many fantastic adventures on sailboats around the world, most recently sailing through the Caribbean on a family sabbatical. Mark’s passions include surfing, brewing beer and soccer.
Currently lives in San Diego, CA. Grew up in Spain, and has lived in Colorado, Texas, Florida, and New Zealand. “Home” for JJ is where most of his family live in Crested Butte, Colorado. He is passionate about surfing with friends, traveling, and playing soccer.
Margaret is originally from New Mexico but has called Crested Butte CO home now for 12 years. She enjoys her job running the Nautilus Sailing office and when not working loves mountain biking, skiing, and mountain living.
Pilar is a New Mexico native and still calls it her home. Passions include mountain biking and road cycling, but most importantly, her grandkids! Coming from a place with no sailing, Pilar is really taking to life on the water.
