Jamie Instructor Profile

Jamie Alyssa Brown, despite being raised on Lake Michigan, didn’t learn to sail until she moved the the Caribbean 12 years ago.  She learned on a raceboat and quickly discovered the world of cruising and offshore sailing.  Though she has sailed in Croatia, England, Spain and France, she now considers the Caribbean her home.  She has been living aboard and sailing the Caribbean waters for the past decade.

Her other passions include cooking, fishing and playing with her adorable, twin niece and nephew.  She has worked as a Chef, as well as a Skipper experimenting with local favorites and taking traditional cooking classes in many of the places she visits.  You will never see her happier than while she is cooking freshly caught fish in a deserted, stunning anchorage (except maybe when she is introducing the twins to a food they have never tried before!).
